The Death Valley Ecoregion is a terrestrial ecoregion of the Deserts and xeric shrublands biome, as designated by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) arid ecoregions scheme. 〔.〕 Other biogeography systems define and designate the Mojave Desert ecoregion differently. ==Death Valley Ecoregion== The Death Valley Ecoregion is located in the Mojave Desert, in the southwest corner of the physiographic Great Basin Region, in the Southwestern United States. 〔 It is defined by the WWF as the area covered by the watersheds of the Owens River in the Owens Valley basin, the Amargosa River, and the Mojave River. It covers much of southeastern California and part of southwestern Nevada. 〔 It includes the namesakes Death Valley and Death Valley National Park.〔
